Coachella Valley Lakers 2026–27 Inaugural Season

Coachella Valley Lakers Inaugural NBA G League Season brings the Los Angeles Lakers’ affiliate to Acrisure Arena, giving the desert its first professional basketball team. Sharing the building with the Firebirds, the club offers a close view of NBA prospects in a major local venue without the scale of an NBA arena. The schedule had not been released at the time of research, so the arena’s basketball page is the place to watch as the inaugural season comes into focus.

Why go

• First pro team: The Lakers affiliate is the desert’s first professional basketball team.
• Prospect watch: G League play is a direct way to follow NBA prospects up close.
• Arena setting: Acrisure Arena gives basketball the same contemporary home shared by the Firebirds.
• New-season energy: An inaugural season gives local fans a chance to establish the game-night culture from the start.

What to expect

Expect a professional basketball atmosphere in a modern arena, with the particular intrigue of a roster tied to the Los Angeles Lakers organization. The court action is the main draw, but a new franchise also brings a crowd eager to see what desert basketball becomes. It is a more intimate way to follow rising players than an NBA game, while still giving you the focused arena experience of a scheduled home night. Once individual games are announced, you can choose an opponent or simply make it a fresh addition to a Palm Desert outing.

Know before you go

• Watch Acrisure Arena’s basketball page for the released schedule and current ticket information.
• Do not assume a date until the inaugural schedule is officially posted.
• Plan around the game listing once home dates and opponents are announced.
