Escena is the first new public course built in Palm Springs since the early 1990s, a Nicklaus Design layout that opened in 2005 and plays 7,173 yards from the back tees at par 72. Palm groves, lakes and broad waterscapes are set directly against the Mount San Jacinto wall, and the entire course is irrigated with 100% recycled water.

Rates are dynamic rather than fixed, and regional listings put a round in the $75 to $150 band. The mid-century modern clubhouse and the on-site Escena Grill make it one of the easiest tee times in the city to pair with lunch. The course closes for about two weeks each July for aerification.
