Freedom Park on Country Club Drive is Palm Desert’s dedicated pickleball address: eight purpose-built lighted courts, free to use, with open play from 7am until the lights go off at 10pm. Because the courts are dedicated rather than striped onto tennis surfaces, nets and line markings are correct for the game and there is no negotiating with tennis players for space. It is the busiest free pickleball facility in the central valley, and mornings draw a reliable open-play crowd.

Eight dedicated lighted pickleball courts. One scheduling quirk worth knowing: the courts close on the second Friday of each month from 5am to 11am for maintenance, so plan around that morning.

Hours & Access

Free open play daily 7am to 10pm, closed the second Friday of each month 5am to 11am. No reservations for casual play. Restrooms, parking, dog park and sports fields on site.
