Jacobs Park on Onaga Trail is the high desert’s principal racquet facility, with lighted concrete tennis courts and, since August 2026, four pickleball courts created by converting and striping the northwest tennis court under a two-year town council approval. The one thing to know before driving up from the valley floor: these courts are kept locked and require a town key. Keys are sold at the Recreation Office or Town Hall, cost $15 for a three-year term, and once you have one the play itself is free.

Courts & Surfaces

Three to four lighted tennis courts plus four lighted pickleball courts converted from one tennis court with nets and striping. The remaining tennis courts are being repaired, resurfaced and restriped under a town contract, so confirm current availability before travelling.

Hours & Access

Courts are locked; a town key is required, sold at Town Hall or the Recreation Office for $15 valid three years. Hours run 7am to 7pm with lights until 10pm. Restrooms, drinking fountain, benches, free parking and a shaded picnic area on site, though the courts themselves are unshaded. Town Community Services at (760) 369-7211.
