Gary Player’s 1992 signature layout at Mission Hills North plays par 72 at 7,062 yards and is the rare desert course of that length that stays genuinely playable, thanks to unusually wide fairways. Waterfalls and lakes come into play on ten of the eighteen holes, with the San Jacinto range as a constant backdrop.

It is fully public, with rates starting around $59 and discounted tee times frequently in the mid-$40s. The Lakeside Grill handles food and drink before and after the round.
