Designed by Gene Sarazen and designated a Palm Desert Historic Landmark in 2010, Shadow Mountain is a short, old-school desert course playing par 70 over just 5,375 yards. Small greens and tight fairways make it a shotmaker’s course, and walking is permitted.

Green fees run about $50 to $60, with deal pricing in the high $30s. The Let’s Flamingo 18-hole putting course on site has become an attraction in its own right, and the course’s location right against the Santa Rosa foothills gives it some of the best framing in Palm Desert.
