Sunburst Park Tennis Courts

Sunburst Park is Joshua Tree’s main recreation site, run by San Bernardino County through CSA 20, and it holds the only public tennis courts in town. Two courts sit alongside basketball, a racquetball court, three ball fields, a water play park, a skate park, a half-mile trail and shaded picnic areas, with the Joshua Tree Community Center on the same grounds. All facilities are dawn to dusk, so there is no night play here, but the early-morning desert light is the better session anyway.

Courts & Surfaces

Two public tennis courts operated by San Bernardino County Special Districts, CSA 20. A racquetball court is also on site. Court fees are not charged; the district charges only for organized classes.

Hours & Access

Open dawn to dusk, no lighting. Free walk-on play. Restrooms, parking, water play park and the Joshua Tree Community Center on the same site.
