A 1984 Ron Garl design inside a 55-plus RV community, The Sands plays nine executive holes at par 32 over 2,127 yards from the men’s tees. The resort calls itself an oasis in the San Jacinto Mountains, and the golf is refreshingly cheap by desert standards.
